Digital Dental X-rays

Digital Dental X-rays

A modern imaging technique used by dentists to capture detailed pictures of a patient’s teeth, gums and jaw. Unlike traditional X-rays, digital X-rays use electronic sensors to create digital images, which are then displayed on a computer screen. This technology offers several advantages, including faster results, reduced radiation exposure and the ability to enhance and zoom in on specific areas for a clearer view. Digital X-rays allow dentists to diagnose issues such as cavities, gum disease and bone loss more accurately and efficiently.

The Working Process of Digital Dental X-Rays:

Working process of digital dental X-rays begins with placing a small digital sensor inside the patient’s mouth, which is positioned near the area to be examined. The dentist then activates a handheld device that emits controlled radiation, which passes through the teeth and gums. The digital sensor captures this radiation and converts it into an image.

Digital dental X-rays send images instantly to a computer, where the dentist can enhance and examine them for better diagnosis. The images are stored electronically for future reference, offering a safer & more efficient alternative to traditional X-rays.
